I asked people on Instagram what games they were playing recently and I got a few interesting recommendations that I want to record for posterity.
Paddy Lindley recommended Norco, a sci-fi Southern Gothic Adventure that immerses the player in the sinking suburbs and verdant industrial swamps of Louisiana’s petrochemical hinterlands. It seems like a really cool and stylized point and click adventure.
Sarah Betts recommended My Time at Portia which is a game by Team 17 set in a post-apocalyptic era and it sounds like a bit of a workshop builder and farming sim. The series is inspired by Animal Crossing, Dark Cloud 2, Harvest Moon, and the works of Miyazaki.
That’s it for now. I know this was a short post – I’m just trying to take notes on my open tabs so that I can close them and declutter my brain. If you check out either of these games though, I’d love to hear what you think!
